Located on the Deaconess Gateway campus within Medical Office Building 5, and near the Deaconess Women’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Gateway was created to meet a growing need—so more families could stay supported, together, and close to care.

Since opening in 2019, this House has allowed us to nearly triple the number of families we serve. Expanding not just our space, but our ability to show up for families in meaningful ways every single day.

Growing to Serve More Families

With more space comes more moments of connection, more families staying close to their child’s care, and more opportunities to ensure no family faces that journey alone.

Meet Your House Manager:
Taylor Avallone

Taylor’s connection to Ronald McDonald House is deeply personal. As an Indiana native, she always knew of the House—but it wasn’t until she stayed there herself during the births of two of her children that she truly understood its impact.

That experience now shapes the way she leads. Taylor meets families with a level of empathy and understanding that can only come from having walked a similar path. She knows what it means to be in their shoes—and she uses that perspective to guide, support, and uplift families through both the hardest days and the most meaningful milestones.

Whether she’s offering reassurance during uncertain moments or celebrating a step forward—big or small—Taylor is a steady presence, a source of strength, and a reminder that families are never alone.
