What is Ronald McDonald House of the Ohio Valley?

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley is a nonprofit serving families across 52 counties in southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky. We provide essential services that remove barriers, support healing, and ensure families can stay together when their child needs medical care.

Our programs include our Houses, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, Parent Care Rooms, and Care Carts.

We operate two Ronald McDonald Houses in the Ohio Valley:

  • Washington House, located on the Ascension St. Vincent campus in Evansville, Indiana
  • Gateway House, located inside Medical Office Building 5 on the Deaconess Gateway campus in Newburgh, Indiana

There are many ways to get involved—from volunteering at the House, to preparing meals for families, hosting a fundraiser, or supporting us through community events.

Yes—your generosity helps provide the essentials families rely on during difficult times. You can give financially, donate items from our wish list, or support through other meaningful ways.

We support families through a range of programs designed to meet them where they are, including our Ronald McDonald Houses, Parent Care Rooms, Care Carts, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

Donations make it possible for families to focus on their child—not the stress around them. Your support provides things like a place to stay near the hospital, warm meals, and access to essential care and resources.

Even from a distance, you can make a difference. Support families by hosting a wish list drive, organizing a fundraiser, collecting pop tabs, or assembling care kits.

Yes! We offer opportunities for both groups and corporate teams to get involved—whether through volunteering, hosting events, or supporting our programs together.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley is an independent, locally governed chapter of the global RMHC network. While we are part of a worldwide system of care, all funds raised here stay local—directly supporting families in our region.

Yes! Pop tabs are recycled, and the funds raised help support our programs and operations. It’s a simple way individuals, schools, and groups can make a meaningful impact.
