Every day, families across the Ohio Valley face the uncertainty that comes with a child’s medical journey. Through the support of our donors, volunteers, partners, and community, Ronald McDonald House Ohio Valley helps ease that burden—providing comfort, connection, and support when families need it most.
What began as a single vision to keep families close has grown into a network of Houses and programs serving thousands of families throughout western Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southern Illinois.
When a child is hospitalized, families shouldn’t have to worry about where they’ll sleep, how they’ll afford meals, or how they’ll remain close to their child’s care.
Through our Houses and programs, we help remove those barriers so families can focus on what matters most—their child.
Today, Ronald McDonald House Ohio Valley operates:
Together, these programs create a continuum of support for families across our region.
In 2025, together we provided:
Helping families remain close to their child’s bedside.
Providing nourishment and one less thing for families to worry about.
Receiving care while surrounded by the love and support of family.
Given by community members who helped make our Houses feel like home.
Across our Houses, programs, and community initiatives.
Nearly $1 million saved, reducing the financial burden associated with medical travel and extended hospital stays.
Families need support in many different ways, which is why our impact extends far beyond our Houses.
Our Care Cart program delivers snacks, comfort items, activities, and moments of kindness directly to hospital rooms and waiting areas throughout the region. What may seem like a small gesture often becomes a bright spot during a difficult day.
Launched in 2025, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile helps eliminate barriers to healthcare access by bringing prenatal, postpartum, and infant healthcare services directly into communities. By meeting families where they are, we’re helping create healthier beginnings and stronger futures.
Located within Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville and Deaconess Henderson, Parent Care Rooms provide families with a private, home-like environment to practice caring for their newborn before discharge—offering confidence, comfort, and support during an important transition.
Behind every statistic is a family navigating one of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Families who stay with us often travel the farthest distances, face the longest hospital stays, and carry the greatest uncertainty. Yet time and again, they tell us that having a place to stay close to their child changes everything.
A warm meal.
A comfortable bed.
A shoulder to lean on.
A community that understands.
These are the moments that transform a House into a home and a program into a lifeline.
As the needs of families continue to evolve, so does our commitment to serving them.
Whether it’s expanding programs, reaching new communities, strengthening partnerships, or creating innovative solutions that remove barriers to care, our mission remains unchanged:
To provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.
Together, we’re building a future where every family has the support they need to stay close when it matters most.
